(57) Disclosed in the present invention are an artificial concrete block for an armor layer, and a construction placement method. The artificial block for an armor layer is in the shape of the Chinese character „米“ and comprises a square central base block, wherein vertical rods perpendicular to the square central base block are respectively formed on an upper square surface and a lower square surface of the square central base block, each vertical rod is a prism with a square cross section, and an included angle of 45º is formed between a diagonal line of the square cross section of the prism and a diagonal line of the upper square surface and the lower square surface of the square central base block; and transverse rods perpendicular to the square central base block are respectively formed on four side faces of the square central base block, each transverse rod is a frustum of a pyramid having a square cross section, and a side length of a bottom face of the frustum of the pyramid is the same as the thickness of the square central base block. The construction placement method comprises: sequentially placing blocks from the bottom of a cross-sectional slope of a breakwater to the top of the slope, wherein in odd rows, an included angle of 45º is formed between an axis of a middle rod of each block and an axis of the breakwater, and in even rows, an included angle of 135º is formed between the axis of the middle rod of each block and the axis of the breakwater, and the placement density and posture of the blocks are ensured; and performing quality re-inspection after placement. By means of the present patent, the blocks are hooked and held together using the rods, such that the wave attenuation effect of a breakwater can be effectively improved, the height of reflected waves in front of the breakwater is reduced, the wave run-up is small, and the wave attenuation effect is obvious; and the present invention uses a small amount of concrete, has a simple appearance, high strength, large porosity and high stability, is convenient to construct, and has a low cost.
