Now that we have left the economically difficult year of 2009 behind us, we look forward to all of the better things to come and the new tasks that await us. Exactly one year ago, our former editor-in-chief, Martina Pankoke, bid us goodbye in this column. As a new member in the team of BFT INTERNATIONAL, I was invited to write the words of introduction this time. I thank all of you with whom I had already had the pleasure of working, and I look forward to learning something new and informing you about it.
