ACT helps US precast producer prepare for future growth
When it came time to plan for future growth, MBO Precast selected the solution providers at Advanced Concrete Technologies (ACT) to help them set the proper course. MBO, established in Massachusetts in 1986, just south of Boston, serves a growing roster of contractors, builders, municipalities and homeowners with wet-cast items and concrete products. The company’s product range includes retaining walls, catch basins, sewer and drain manholes, wing walls and other specialty precast items. The company called on ACT when they knew they had outgrown their Plymouth, Massachusetts location and needed a plant that would better fit their new larger facilities.
ACT’s Sales Manager and engineer on the project, Tom Krueger, worked closely with MBO owner, Jeff Opachinski, and his son Steve, Plant Manager, to design a turnkey mixing and batching plant that could handle greater capacity, increase production speed, maintain higher quality concrete production, and save the firm considerable time and associated expense. The proximity of ACT’s headquarters in Greenland, New Hampshire, enabled Tom Krueger to make sure the Opachinskis’ new plant met everything they expected, and more.
