24th Colloquium: Rheological Measurements of Building Materials

The Schleibinger colloquium being held in March 2015 in the German city of Regensburg will be a highlight for all those involved in the processability and workability of concrete and mortars. For more than 20 years, specialists and interested building materials rheologists from all over the world have been meeting in the medieval city on the river Danube. While the first day will focus on theory with presentations and discussion, a laboratory workshop at the second day will be dedicated to the application in practice.

The lectures, lasting between 20 and 40 minutes, will present current developments in the field of measuring and controlling the flow properties of mortar, plasters, screed, fresh concrete and the like. The conference will take place on March 11 in the modern auditorium section of the Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule (OTH) Regensburg, Galgenbergstraße 30. A laboratory workshop will take place on the following day at the OTH location in Prüfeninger Straße 58. For this purpose, three stations are used to present devices, to carry out rheological measurements of building materials, to give operating instructions and to discuss the results. Entrance is free of charge at both days.
