85th birthday celebrated
On December 09, 2014, Karl Rekers, the general manager of Rekers GmbH located in Spelle, celebrated his 85th birthday.
After graduating from the Technical University of Hannover as mechanical engineer, he founded, together with his later wife Klärchen, the company Rekers GmbH on October 01, 1955. At that time, the company had been operating in the field of machinery and steel construction, while the present-day business segment is the manufacture of machinery and plants.
The company continued to expand due to his inexhaustible work and his engineering knowledge so that the old manufacturing plant was too small in 1970; new factory buildings were built.
Until today active in the company
Now, the production area of Rekers GmbH covers 36,000 m². Karl Rekers already realized the need for computer-controlled production processes very far-sighted in 1976. Under his leadership Rekers GmbH soon firmly established itself as an integrated part of the specialized market due to his technical competence and his willingness to manufacture also special customized solutions.
