Concrete boxes 2.0 offering 70 % more installation volume
With the new winged concrete box 2.0, Primo GmbH has optimized a successful classic product of their portfolio used in concrete construction even further: It is the only electrical box available in the market that is also suitable for two conduits of size M32 alternatively to conduits of M20/M25. In addition, Primo presents the new concrete box deep 2.0 for conduit sizes of M20, M25 and M32.
Craft trades were already persuaded by the first winged concrete box made by Primo, which was proven by the 2007 Federal Award for Outstanding Innovative Achievements (Bundespreis für herausragende innovatorische Leistungen). Now, the specialist in electrical installation technology has further improved its successful product: With the new winged concrete box 2.0, Primo GmbH is the only supplier providing the possibility for the insertion of two DIN EN conduits M32 in a concrete junction box. Alternatively, the new box can contain up to six corrugated conduits or rigid conduits of size M20/M25.
Time savings of up to 50 % during installation
The new winged concrete box ideally suits to concrete covers of 20 to 60 mm and convinces by its extremely simple installation: The holes for the conduits required are drilled or punched into the left and right side of the box in the corresponding sizes. This is particularly easy as the holes to be drilled are centrally marked and the surface is flat. The insertion of the empty conduits is now even easier because the sophisticated hexagonal body of the integrated electrical box offers 70 % more installation volume than comparable boxes, despite the compact size.
Thus, the bending radii of data and fiber optic cables can be easily maintained. The box cover can then be pressed on again effortlessly, but in a firm and reliable way. Now, the two wings of the box are tied up four times to the steel reinforcement, not requiring any counter bearing, and cast in concrete subsequently. Several boxes can easily be pushed together to multi-combination boxes with a spacing of 71 mm thanks to the absolutely firm SCS pushing technology of Primo. The concrete cover is up to 40 mm, and if the box is reversed, the installation of the winged concrete box enables a concrete cover of up to 60 mm. As a result, the simplified installation technique provides the craft trades with time savings of about 50 %.
Concrete box deep 2.0
The standard spacing of 15 cm between the box center and the wing end is a particularly practical feature. Hence, the worker only needs to fix a wing to the door formwork and is able to mount the box to the steel reinforcement at the desired height.
For an installation without wings, Primo adds the new box as concrete box deep 2.0 to the portfolio. The box is simply fixed to the formwork by means of nails to be used as floor box or device junction box and offers space for corrugated or rigid conduits in sizes of M20, M25 and M32. The combination of several boxes is also possible without any problems.
