Familiar faces, new business cards. Normally, the matter would be clear and not worth mentioning – change of employer. At bauma CTT Russia 2018 in Moscow, the largest trade show for construction machinery on the territory of the former Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS ), however, this explanation did not apply in a number of cases (also see “Restructuring of the Precast Industry in Moscow,” p. 52). However, these persons who assumedly changed employer actually continue to work for their same employers. With their new business cards, they now work only under a new label: i.e., under the label of a consultancy. The consultancy represents its own employer and, in addition, a number of other machine manufacturers that jointly offer all plant and equipment for production of complete structural precast concrete components.
After the mega event, the World Cup soccer world championship, the precast industry in the heart of Russia is now restructuring itself. At the trade show it became apparent that large construction companies are offering their precast plants for sale and that the new owners are adapting their plants to the new market situation. These restructuring developments call for consultants with expert knowledge. Manufacturers of plant and equipment now have the justified hope of being able to outfit one and the same plant for a second time.
