Light-Box XL 190 for concrete-tight flexibility
The new installation housing Light-Box XL 190 from Primo can be flexibly used in concrete processing and for mounting techniques – and can be quickly and reliably assembled. The dimensioning of the Light-Box, with a diameter of 190 mm and a height of 130 mm, is compact. It is available with or without a transformer duct and can be mounted in several ways. For pre-assembly in the precast plant, three options are available.
For the first, the cover made of mineral fiber is glued to the form table with a glue gun. The only remaining step of work is mounting the housing. A more convenient version features a housing that is delivered fully assembled to the construction site. The third option functions with the aid of a magnet integrated in the cover of the housing. Assembly is especially fast and precise, since subsequent fine adjustments of the concrete box are possible at any time.
Fit for use in precast and in-situ floors
The steel reinforcement is subsequently installed and the precast element cast for all versions of the Light-Box. After the concrete has hardened, either M20 or M25 pipes are pushed through the membrane opening in the box housing, up to the pipe stop. This results in reliable tension relief of the concrete pipes while ensuring optimal positioning; the electrical installation, according to the manufacturer, is absolutely impervious to concrete and wind. Possible inaccuracies in the final assembly stage pose no problem: at a diameter of 190 mm they can be easily corrected. The openings are drilled, the integrated magnet is removed, the underside of the floor is smoothed, and the downlights or other installation equipment are mounted.
Another possible application of the new Light-Box is installation in in-situ concrete. For this version, the box is nailed to the concrete form and the housing is attached. The steel reinforcement is next installed, and the concrete is cast directly at the construction site. The Light-Box is then covered entirely by the concrete and is no longer visible.
