Senior management change
Peikko is actively promoting the process of having its subsidiaries overseen by local senior managers.
Effective 16 March 2015, management responsibilities at Peikko Deutschland GmbH, the German subsidiary, changed as follows: the Managing Director position was divided into two roles, which is common practice in German companies. Christian Gerke took responsibility for sales, marketing, finance, and administration; Tobias Althaus is responsible for customer engineering, production, quality, and logistics.
Hannu Lehtomäki, who has led the German team since December 2011, will remain in Germany for an additional period to support the transition to the new managing directors. Lehtomäki will continue to work with Peikko Group in a role that will be communicated at a later stage.
