The Hague rolls out an elegant block carpet

The Dutch city of The Hague has upgraded its shopping promenade Grote Marktstraat, in one of Europe’s most popular pedestrian zones. Exceptional paving slabs were used from the XXL program by the manufacturer Klostermann, from the German city of Coesfeld.

The Dutch city of The Hague has implemented an ambitious plan: the conversion of Grote Marktstraat into what has been called a luxurious ballroom. Grote Marktstraat is located in one of the most frequented pedestrian zones in Europe. Every year, more than 7 million pedestrians walk over its pavement, according to the city administration.
