Change of generations effected in the precast division

New leading trio in the concrete division: Since July 1, three experienced heads have represented the precast concrete division of Unitechnik Systems GmbH. Peter Reimer, Markus Siepe and Carsten Felbick are succeeding Klaus Schumacher – thus, Unitechnik and the entire concrete sector retire an old hand of the precast concrete industry.

The sales department of the precast concrete business unit is managed by Peter Reimer as of now. The qualified electrical engineer has already been working with Unitechnik for about 16 years; at first, he was involved in the technical department and worked as PLC instructor. In 2022, he joined the sales team. Markus Siepe and Carsten Felbick provide him with expert support, both have been working with Unitechnik for 25 years. Carsten Felbick is head of the information technology team which is dealing with the implementation and further development of the UniCAM production master computer. Markus Siepe together with his team is responsible for control technology and project management. With the stronger integration of technology into sales, Unitechnik takes the increased demand for plant modernization into account.

After 39 years: A pioneer leaves the stage

Unitechnik is one of the long-standing innovators in the market of precast concrete production. Klaus Schumacher has played a responsible role in this regard. With him retiring, an old hand of the precast concrete sector leaves the company. In 1989, Klaus Schumacher took over the newly established team of „automation for precast concrete plants“ which he strongly extended in the following years, until he took over the sales department of the precast concrete business unit as key account manager in 2016. At last, he jointly supported about 120 customers with his colleague Ralf Gomann, who has retired recently.

Working with Unitechnik, Klaus Schumacher has played a key role in shaping the entire precast concrete industry. Thus, for example, the first shuttering robot and the first automated concrete distributor of the sector were realized under his management. „The job that Klaus Schumacher has done in the past decades contributed to the high level of automation in the present precast concrete industry,“ summarized Peter Reimer the work of his predecessor.

Driving continued technological development

With this new leading trio, a strong team supports the market of precast concrete production. „The demanding topics, such as digitalization, increase in productivity and safety technology, require a high level of expert competence in the sales department,“ explains the department head Christian Stangier. Apart from customer service, the team of Peter Reimer, Markus Siepe and Carsten Felbick will continue to focus on the technological further development of the Unitechnik systems like the UniCAM master computer – such as the new UniCAM.infinity all-round carefree package, for example.
