Innovation: Mixing blade with carbide edge

Mixing blades and scraper bars are subject to very high wear and tear in concrete mixers and, therefore, need to be replaced frequently. It is particularly worth using a highly wear-resistant material here.

The wear-resistant, durable mixing blade with carbide edge is one outcome of professional development processes. These new Pucest products strengthened with carbide offer effective protection against friction wear and impact wear due to their unique characteristics. They close the gap between fast wearing chilled cast iron products and expensive cast products with carbide components.

The patented mixing blade combines the advantages of the Pucest material with the advantages of the carbide components. Hence, the products are in the position to absorb and/or flexibly evade any impact.

This results in a significantly longer service life as well as saving of time and costs because of fewer tool changes.

The first tests were very promising. In spring 2023, the mixing blades were inserted in a concrete plant with an annual throughput of more 100.000 m³. It was only at the end of December 2023 that the blade was replaced; the result is outstanding, according to the supplier, and the customer was very satisfied.
