IPHA Sales and Marketing Seminar 2022 in Barcelona
The International Prestressed Hollowcore Association’s (IPHA) two day Sales and Marketing Seminar took place on October 06 and 07, 2022 at hotel Condes, Barcelona. „It was IPHA’s second seminar of this kind and a unique opportunity for the 47 participants, from 27 different companies and 13 different countries, to listen to interesting lectures from professionals within our industry, and experts from outside, on how we can cope with some of the biggest marketing challenges of today and tomorrow“, stated Seamus McKeague, President of IPHA.
The seminar’s first day opened with the welcoming speeches by Seamus McKeague and Jordi Pujol, the President of IPHA’s Marketing Committee. Tomas Plauska (Betonika, Lithuania) and Simo Hakkarainen (Peikko, Finland) started the seminar with an interesting presentation called Responding to the Sustainability Challenges of Customers and Stakeholders. The presentation was followed by an open discussion, moderated by Topi Paananen (CEO Peikko), under the headline Sustainability in Sales & Marketing.
Tom Goosey (TOG Marketing, UK) introduced the IPHA Website (www.hollowcore.org) with focus on the members-only section. For the last presentation of the first day, Luke Brynley-Jones, Founder and Managing Director of OST, gave a very informative presentation called Building Value from Social Media, followed by a short practical session on LinkedIn best practice.
The day finished with a VIP tour to the Camp Nou, home of FC Barcelona. After a visit to the museum at the stadium and the various player facilities, the day finished with a dinner in the Presidential anteroom.
