11th HPC and the 2nd CIC in Tromsø in March 2017
Tromsø is nick-named “Paris of the North” due the high number of places to wine and dine per capita and in March it is still possible to see the Northern lights at night (Aurora borealis).
Why join the HPC and CIC conferences?
The HPC series of conferences has a long and fruitful history of presenting advances in concrete technology, from its start in Stavanger, Norway in 1987, 30 years ago. Strongly driven by the need for higher strength and better performance of concrete structures, we may today conclude that concrete has indeed improved significantly over the last 30 years.
Based on the present state of concrete quality, the CIC series of conferences, only one arranged so far in 2014, aims at innovative application of concrete in the widest context. The modern world needs innovation to arrive at modern and sustainable solutions. On this background, the two conference philosophies are joined for an efficient and high quality HPC-CIC conference in 2017.
The two conferences will be overlapping with 11th HPC running 6 to 7 March and 2nd CIC running 7 to 8 March 2017. Delegates can participate at individual conferences or both. Please follow the updates on both events on www.hpc-cic-2017.no. Abstract deadline for either conference was 1st of May 2016.
We sincerely hope to see you in Tromsø in March 2017! The Conference is hosted by the Norwegian Concrete Association, Sintef and Tekna and supported by Rilem and Fib.
