A warm welcome to the
24th BIBM Congress in Amsterdam,
for manufacturers of concrete elements, suppliers, innovation providers as well as for researchers and industry sector partners alike, the 24th BIBM Congress from 27 to 29 September 2023 in Amsterdam offers the ideal platform for a dialogue on the future of sustainable building with precast concrete elements. The slogan “Green – Digital – Resilient – Precast Concrete Solutions” focusses on the primary tasks and orientation of action by our sector of industry. The organizers BIBM and the partner association IPHA are the umbrella organizations of European prefabrication with precast concrete elements.
Noted speakers from many European countries will demonstrate the state-of-the-art in building with prefabricated concrete elements as the preferred choice of construction methods on the way to transformation of the construction industry. Their presentations will include alternative binding agents, carbon capture perspectives, new CO2-reduced cements, the practice of building information modelling, protection from earthquakes and floods and fire, the reusability of precast elements – in addition to numerous innovative product developments from among the suppliers in the Innovation Workshop.
Particularly striking is the range of options the exhibition provides with its around 80 exhibition stands that offer a cross-section of the performance capability of the market partners of manufacturers, from many parts in Europe and beyond: e.g., Japan. And that completes the circle of the quite extraordinary venue of the event: the renowned Hotel Okura has combined Dutch and Japanese hospitality on the highest level for more than 50 years.
