Liebherr Mixing Plant Operates in Dizzy Height

 At present an extraordinary location for a concrete mix-ing plant can be seen in Switzerland. On top of the mountain Rigi at 1,440 m above sea level a concrete mixing plant of Liebherr – type Easymix 1.0 – is placed directly beside the cog railroad.  

The construction of a mineral spa high on the mountain gave rise to manufacturing concrete in dizzy height, with a breathtaking panoramic view of Lake Lucerne. As the construction site cannot be reached by ready-mix trucks, the concrete has to be produced on site on top of the mountain. For an appropriate mixing plant specific requirements had to be taken into account.
