Atlant Strong – The new generation of reinforced concrete composite columns

Atlant composite columns (Fig. 1) provide remarkable flexibility, architectural design freedom, and maximized space for users. Using slender Atlant composite columns makes it possible to design buildings to provide more usable floor space, more effective daylighting, and greater visibility within the building and to the outside. This product range includes the slender and strong Atlant and the almost invisible, even stronger Atlant Strong columns.

These columns are more slender than other columns of the same strength, yet strong enough to maintain constant outer cross-sectional dimensions across all stories. They feature built-in fireproofing, ensuring safety without compromising on design.

Atlant Strong composite columns provide superior slenderness and incredible load capacity. Depending on project specifics, they can be used exclusively or in combination with standard Atlant columns. Combining both types of columns is the perfect solution because it reduces the number of different cross-sections across floors and load areas while providing a cost-efficient solution that maximizes architectural design freedom.

Atlant Strong columns consist of a tube, concrete, and a steel core. Their design is based on Eurocode specifications and has been calibrated with test results. Approval for Atlant Strong is expected later this year.
