BetonTage: Rethinking Sustainability

Economic downturns and geographical upheavals caused by wars and other crises dominate the media. The construction industry and building with precast concrete elements are also massively affected by the decline in building permits and of incoming orders. At the same time, the demands placed on construction are becoming ever more pressing: lack of housing, infrastructure in need of rehabilitation, resilient, climate-friendly urban and residential redevelopment. Economic efficiency must go hand in hand here with ecological improvement (and vice versa), otherwise there will be no genuine transformation. On the way toward this goal, precast concrete elements will play an especially prominent role. The 69th BetonTage will address these developments from 11 to 13 March 2025 more than ever before. They will show examples and solutions on how to rethink sustainability – in a new concise format, without loss of topic density and with new formats such as the 1st German Infrastructure Day for Climate Resilience. With Brazil, another prominent guest country will once again participate – a country where new housing settlements are being quickly built with slender concrete elements and where: Precast Concrete Building is Green Building.

And the digital formats have also been rethought, with exhibitors’ podcasts and hybrid press conferences. The focus will be on discussions and exchange. The exhibitors will play a central role. The great scope and depth of the presentations will be the same as ever, for all target groups, for manufacturers along with architects, for the construction companies with the 6th Construction Industry Future Day and structural engineers from engineering consultancies. It’s time to register – the organizers and BFT are looking forward to seeing you.
