Beton Tage: Great interest, good mood
Top-class transfer of knowledge and intensive discussions - this was provided by the 57th BetonTage congress held from February 18 to 20, 2014 at the Edwin-Scharff-Haus Conference Center in Neu-Ulm. About 2,000 participants from 17 countries accepted the invitation and came to Europe's largest industry gathering of the precast concrete sector. In plenary lectures and product-related panels with renowned speakers they could gather information on current industry specific developments in the field of technology, business economics and legal issues.
Austria, representing the guest country, allowed the participants to look beyond the German market. Networking with colleagues and market partners as well as the accompanying program were not missed out either.
Innovation Prize structural concrete products awarded
The exhibition held parallel to the congress presented the entire range of products and services of the supplier, machinery and software industry and was fully booked with 160 booths. The latest best product development was awarded with the 2014 Innovation Prize for structural concrete products. BASF Construction Solutions GmbH based in Mannheim, Germany, and Filigran Trägersysteme GmbH & Co. KG, headquartered in Leese, Germany, shared this year's prize, which, as every year, was awarded on the occasion of the opening of the BetonTage congress in the German city of Neu-Ulm. The BASF subsidiary received the prize in the concrete technology category for its novel Master X-Seed hardening accelerator; Filigran convinced the jury members by its innovative FDB II punching shear reinforcement submitted in the reinforcement and fastening technology category.
The prize endowed with a total amount of € 3,000 was presented together with the trade magazine BFT International Betonwerk + Fertigteil-Technik.
