12th conference on concrete components

"New challenges in concrete construction" is this year's slogan of the already twelfth conference on concrete components that will be held by the HTWK Leipzig University of Applied Sciences on March 16, 2017 in Leipzig.

The conference intends to inform on the state-of-the-art in research and current development trends in concrete, reinforced and prestressed concrete construction. It is dedicated to background information on and updating of Eurocodes, building material innovations and new requirements on planning and design of concrete components.

This year's program comprises twelve lectures, including: "Combination of verifications of applicability in accordance with the new MBO and MVV TB in terms of building law and water law" given by Dr.-Ing. Ullrich Kluge, German Institute of Construction Technology; "Eurocode in practice: structural and minimum reinforcement in accordance with EC2" given by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Klaus Holschemacher, HTWK Leipzig; "New building materials: Carbon Concrete Composite" by Univ.-Prof. Dr.-Ing. E.h. Manfred Curbach and Dr.-Ing. Frank Schladitz, TU Dresden, and "Low-shrink concrete from the ready-mixed concrete plant?!" given by Dr.-Ing. Thomas Richter, InformationsZentrum Beton (information center concrete).
