HIEBER cantilever stair: elegant and precise
Hieber, the precast concrete specialist located in Wörleschwang in the district of Augsburg (Germany), presents an innovation: a patented cantilever stair with wall element. Architects and construction companies praise design and functionality of the precast concrete module for a stairway.
“I saw the precast stair at the trade fair BAU and was very excited about the incredible construction,” reports Jochen Osterlehner, architect from Augsburg. The construction and the design turn out very well. In the villa, planned by Osterlehner, the tailor-made stairs of Hieber are already effective in an optimum way: they impress with elegance, precision and lightness – and yet are weighing several tonnes.
Maximum precision
The connecting reinforcement enables a very quick and easy connection of the elements to the remaining building structure. “This is a great thing which is not achieved very often,” believes Berthold Jakob of the construction company with the same name that is located in Affing near Augsburg, who emphasized moreover the good support and the on-time delivery by the Hieber company.
The production of the precast concrete module taking place under optimum conditions in the factory ensures maximum precision, saves the elaborate erection of formwork on site and shortens the construction time. The steps concreted in the wall element are firmly fixed and do not vibrate.
Great demand abroad
The wall element, the length of the steps made of smooth fair-faced concrete and the tread area can be altered. The stair is available in different colors, among others anthracite.
“The cantilever stair is very well received,” says the managing director Alexander Hieber, whose tailor-made stairs have also been in great demand abroad for several years now. He primarily attributes this to “our competence in formwork construction”. The cantilever stair as a precast element underlines the innovative strength of the owner-managed family business with manufacturing plants in Wörleschwang, in Pegau near Leipzig and in Waghäusel near Heidelberg (Germany).
