Austria: Leading precast producer expands market territory
Kirchdorfer Fertigteilholding GmbH, one of the leading producers of precast concrete elements in Austria, acquires a majority shareholding in Kammel GmbH based in the Styrian municipality of Grafendorf.
“Kammel GmbH is the specialist for precast basements throughout Austria. The acquisition of the company will enable us to expand and strengthen the segment of basement construction. We also expect the merger to create maximum synergies in the immediate future between our subsidiary companies, Maba Fertigteilindustrie GmbH and Rauter Fertigteilbau GmbH. The new location will enable us to expand our logistics opportunities within the parameters of expanded capacity levels,” says Michael Wardian, managing director of Kirchdorfer Fertigteilholding GmbH.
Taking over Kammel GmbH, Kirchdorfer Fertigteilholding GmbH not only acquires production technology that is highly familiar, such as the production of double walls, but, by expanding its know-how, is also able to expand its market position as the leading manufacturer of precast concrete elements for the Austrian market.
A staff of around 140 is currently employed at the location of Kammel in Grafendorf; all of them will be retained. The company’s name, Kammel GmbH, which has been firmly established in the market for 50 years, will remain unchanged.
