At the CTT 2014, there was no other topic that was dealt with such respectful silence than the military confrontation and the continuing conflict between Russia and Ukraine. In private conversation, however, the subject was virtually imposed on the visitor: The political crisis even now has an effect on trade as unanimously stated by several market actors. Some major investments in plant equipment were put on hold by the Russian negotiating partners.
