Concrete Day

19 November saw Rotterdam concert and conference venue “de Doelen” transformed into the theme of the annual Concrete Day. Attended by 3,350 participants and also the focus of considerable trade media, including Cobouw, Aeneas, Otar, Civiele Techniek (Civil Engineering), CPI, De Aannemer, etc. there was something to suit all interests on the agenda. The conference included the Annual Address, sessions with projects abroad, Utility construction, Home construction, etc. and special programmes concerning safety in the construction industry, high-rise buildings, repairing concrete, repair methods for steel bridges with concrete, etc. We received many compliments for the workshops and sessions on the day.

Of course we must mention Professor and Engineer Joost Walraven’s badge of honour awarded by the Concrete Association. The initial lectures were used by the exhibitors to share their innovative knowledge.
