Demo Days: Quality to touch
On June 11 and 12, 2015, the Demo Days of the trailer manufacturer attracted guests from 25 countries to the Belgium town of Büllingen near Malmedy. The visitors listened to competently given presentations and took a look at the exhibits showcased on the company‘s premises.
This year‘s event focused on the CombiMax and the PrefaMax. The concept of the CombiMax is distinguished by modularity, flexibility and speed. It allows the user to configure the trailer according to the individual transport requirements. On the Demo Days, mechanics converted a 3+5 low loader combination with intermediate platform to an 8-axle semi-trailer with telescopic beam (“add-on beam”) in next to no time in front of the visitors. The attendees were able to convince themselves of the modular system for medium and heavy payloads at close range.
PrefaMax also extendable now
Another highlight of the event was the presentation of the extendable PrefaMax, the inloader for the transportation of precast concrete elements. The version presented on the Demo Days is suitable for carrying quite long concrete elements. As a global innovation, the extendable PrefaMax was presented for the first time at the Intermat trade fair held in Paris. The new PrefaMax can be extended to a length of 4,000 mm gradually. In this way, it is possible to obtain a maximum loading length of 13,500 mm.
The Max510 low-bed trailer of Max Trailer was also showcased in a much-noticed demonstration. The first vehicle of this type was demonstrated to the visitors of the Demo Days as a product premiere.
Apart from the innovations, the visitors could also marvel at the models existing for a long time already.
