SH Stonetec

German-Iranian joint booth at Bauma Munich

Iran is more and more integrated in the international community, among others, due to the fact that the economic sanctions are gradually lifted. This opens up a huge market potential, even for international companies.

The medium-sized enterprise SH Stonetec GmbH has already realized the new perspectives quite early, and they have been actively operating in Iran through a joint venture with Talaei Novin Machinery since 2012. Both companies exhibit together with NKS-Demmerle GmbH at the Bauma 2016 in Munich.

Long-term experience of the partner companies

SH Stonetec GmbH is a medium-sized enterprise based near Regensburg. After the bankruptcy of the renowned company Schauer & Haeberle in 2009, executive staff members became self-employed and founded SH Stonetec. The long-term experience and the extensive knowledge in machinery and plant engineering, in particular, in the field of surface treatment of concrete slabs thus remain available to the customers.

SH Stonetec offers stan-dard and customized solutions to the concrete block industry focusing on surface treatment, diamond tools, plant optimization, new and used machinery as well as customized solutions up to complex machinery and equipment. In addition to that, they undertake planning, construction and commissioning of individual machines and complete production lines according to customer request. The aim is an efficient, cost-effective and economic solution for increasing the customer success.

Talaei Novin Machinery is an enterprise managed by the third generation that is based in the Iranian Isfahan. As stated by the company, today they are the biggest manufacturer of machinery for cast stones in the Middle East with a workforce of more than 200 people. Talaei Novin Machinery is manufacturing up to 50 hermetic presses as well as 40 to 50 grinding lines and paving block machines per year, plus many additional products for the concrete industry. The customer base includes numerous manufacturers of concrete products from Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan and the United Arab Emirates.

Own technology center for the cooperation

Both companies entered into a cooperation agreement. Talaei Novin Machinery is manufacturing and SH Stonetec provides the know-how required for entering the European market. In the highlands of Isfahan, the latter company has meanwhile a small technology center for the production of hollow blocks and wet-cast products with own manufacturing machines situated in a production hall specifically built for this purpose; further machinery and production lines are said to follow. The aim is to demonstrate new and better manufacturing methods to the customers on site as well as to give them an understanding of the practical application and possibilities for improvement.

In this respect, SH Stonetec also counts on the know-how and commitment of NKS Demmerle located in Wallerfangen. The internationally recognized expertise of the company from Saarland regarding concrete technology and the wet-cast process – ranging from manual production to the fully-automated production process – attracts wide interest in Iran.

Production plant
for diamond segments

A spacious, two-story office building as well as two production halls covering a floor space of more than 2,000 m² were provided in the northern part of the city of Isfahan, in the middle of an industrial zone. This is another pillar of SH Stonetec GmbH.

In cooperation with Talaei Novin Machinery, at present, gang saw segments are manufactured on own sintering machines as pilot plant at this location. There are up to 1,000 gang saw systems in Iran in order to meet the enormous demand.

Perspectives in the country of Iran

The Iranian market offers huge opportunities, because the country three times the size of Germany has an enormous backlog demand due to the many years of isolation as well as the economic embargo. The about 80 million inhabitants have an average age of 30  years only and an above-average standard of training and education. Motivated employees with a high level of skill in craftsmanship provide the best prerequisites.
