ICAAC Autoclaved Aerated Concrete Conference in Potsdam, Germany, in September
From 4 to 6 September this year in Potsdam, at the sixth International Autoclaved Aerated Concrete Conference (ICAA), everything will focus on this white, porous construction material. Today, autoclaved aerated concrete is used worldwide in the construction of residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. And, quite recently, there have been a number of innovative improvements in the manufacturing process for autoclaved aerated concrete. This is also the motivation for holding the conference.
The presentations by representatives of science and practice will focus on the following complex of issues: “Building and Residential Construction in the 21st Century,” “Calcium Silicate Hydrate Chemistry: What is the state of current research?” “Environment, Sustainability, and Recycling,” “Masonry: from tradition to Europe 2020 and onward,” “Energy-Efficient Buildings: Which products do we need?” “Physical Properties: Protection from Heat, Moisture, Noise, and Fire,” “Standards and Codes of Practice,” as well as “Global Challenges for Application-Oriented Research and Structural Design with Autoclaved Aerated Concrete.” Additional thematic areas include “Digitization,” “Innovation and Production,” and “Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete.”
The program includes a get-together on the first day, a conference dinner on the second day, and a technical excursion on the third day.
The three-day event takes place on the premises of Potsdam University.
Among the sponsors of the event are Solbet, Xella, Aircrete, Masa, BASF, Wehrhahn, and the German Autoclaved Aerated Concrete Association (Bundesverband Porenbeton).
