Lüning New Managing Director at Unitechnik Systems
In June 2015, Dr.-Ing. Ralf Lüning became the new Managing Director of Unitechnik Systems GmbH, a company of the Unitechnik Group. In doing so, he assumed the responsibilities of partner Wolfgang Cieplik, who transferred to the holding company. Lüning has 15 years of experience with automation in production and logistics, gained in places such as Germany and Asia. One of Lüning‘s main objectives is to continuously strengthen the market position of Unitechnik as the go-to partner for demanding projects in production automation and intralogistics.
The 39-year-old has proven his technological expertise at Schaeffler and the planning company io-Consultants, amongst others. At the industrial group Schaeffler, he served as Head of Supply Chain Development for the global development of logistics. Most recently, Lüning was Senior Business Unit Manager for logistics and plant planning projects at io-Consultants in Germany and Asia. “As both as an employee and client of a planning company, Mr. Lüning has overseen and implemented industrial projects,” says Wolfgang Cieplik of the personnel decision. “This expertise is very valuable for the automation specialist Unitechnik.” In his new role as Managing Director of Unitechnik Systems GmbH, Lüning is planning, amongst other things, to expand the range of services of the system integrator in the after-sales service. Lüning jointly holds the Managing Director position with Torsten Ley, who has been responsible for the commercial management of the Unitechnik Group for more than 25 years.
