New construction concept for swimming pools

Bekapool, according to the supplier Steuler-KCH Schwimmbadbau, represents a totally new construction concept for swimming pools that is now being introduced to the specialist trade. Concrete, the time-tested construction material, is directly, mechanically and permanently bonded to highly resistant synthetic lining material whose impermeability offers testing capability.

Close-tolerance precast concrete elements with integrated lining technology are the basis for an innovative, comprehensive and modular construction concept for swimming pools. Defined precast concrete segments for walls and floors with integrated synthetic coating are transported completely prefabricated for every project to the construction site and are installed within a very short time. Technical pool systems such as inlets and overflows, precisely levelled overflow channels and pool head edgings as well as all other fittings are prefabricated in the plant and need only be connected at the site. Rapid and effectively planned implementation makes for short downtimes in existing pool facilities and rapid commissioning of new pools.

High degree of prefabrication

The pool material is physiologically safe, anti-adhesive, easy to clean, resistant to chloride, frostproof, UV-stable and available in a wide range of colors – it likewise offers a pleasantly warm surface structure. The smooth, jointless and homogeneous pool lining material is permanently bonded to the static concrete body.

For Bekapool, the swimming pool specialist Steuler-KCH Werkstoffe has combined material, engineering and installation into a high-performance package for new and upgraded pools. The thought-through, reliable system solution for swimming pool facilities pays off from the very start: the high degree of prefabrication and rapid and reliable implementation on site enable savings of 25 % compared to conventional construction concepts.

Bekapool also pays off during operation: ongoing maintenance costs are noticeably reduced – especially for outdoor pools. As with all its other systems, the sealing experts Steuler-KCH Schwimmbadbau offer clients, designers and planners reliable service as a one-stop supplier: planning and design, consultation, structural engineering, expert hydro-design and construction implementation.
