New range of spray-dried micro-granules introduced

In its manufacturing site in Tongling, China, Cathay Industries has put its new state-of-the-art spray dryers into full operation. The dryers have the capacity to turn out a total of 20,000 metric tons of micro-granulated pigments per year.

“We are proud that Cathay is now in the position to expand its broad portfolio by yet another important product line”, says Terence Yu, global CEO of Cathay Industries Group. “There are not many companies in the world that are able to manufacture top-quality spray-dried iron oxide granules”, he explains.

Cathaygran products manufactured in Tongling

The new products are entirely manufactured at the company’s site in Tongling and will be marketed under the Cathaygran brand. They exhibit excellent flow properties allowing the use on virtually any automatic dosing system present in the market. The products are easy to disperse achieving outstanding levels of color development. They are characterized by a well-specified particle size and are practically dust-free for use in sensitive working environments.

Therefore, granular pigments can be applied in order to avoid harmful clouds of dust during processing. Cathay provides the micro-granules in 25 kg paper bags as well as in bulk bags.
