Sandwich construction combined with prestress
Ceiltec floor elements consist of two thin concrete shells connected by a purpose-developed perforated ribbed construction to form a sandwich element. The main advantages are a very high loadbearing capacity at a low self-weight and a continuous hollow space for installing service lines. Ceiltec elements, in contrast to other prestressed floor elements, ensure an outstanding robust bearing capacity, achieved by means of the combination of prestressed and non-prestressed reinforcement. Spans of up to 20-m width and widely cantilevered slabs of up to 5 m can be constructed with this technology....
