Trust and continuity

You can take our word for it, dear readers of BFT International: trust and continuity – these keywords stand for our work in our association, in our technical work for structural precast building, in representing the interests of our members and in collaborating with the entire precast sector.

The year 2020 was our anniversary year: we look back on 50 years of successful work with the FDB and are facing the requirements of the future with enthusiasm. The focus here is on sustainable building as well as on utilizing the resources available to us as efficiently as possible and on reducing CO2 emission to the greatest possible extent.

Our industry is facing the challenge of responding to developments in the cement sector, while ensuring the consistently high quality of our precast building components and, in addition, while further developing our own approaches. These include optimizing concrete formulas and optimizing building components by rendering them leaner, gradation, alternative types of reinforcement, integrated properties, demountable connections and enhancement of resource and energy efficiency in the plants and at construction sites. We have been communicating the potentials of precast construction in the area of sustainable building for years, and we will continue to do so.

Setting construction materials against each other and one-sided promotion of individual sectors is generally counterproductive. We are committed to fundamental openness regarding the technology of construction materials and construction methods and are co-founders of the “Network Sustainable.Mineral.Construction,” which represents this position with respect to politics and the economy. Far-reaching climate protection and future-oriented building can go hand in hand. We are ready to confront these complex challenges and to find solutions, together with you.
