Visiting friends

“The world visiting friends” – this was the motto of the 2006 FIFA World Cup. It described the fantastic mood as thousands of people from all over the world traveled to Germany to joyfully celebrate the great soccer event. The visitors to Bauma 2016, the world’s biggest trade show for construction machinery, building-materials machines, construction vehicles, and construction equipment, will most likely come from just as many countries. Many industrial representatives will have marked this event in their calendars long ago and will once again meet many familiar faces and friends in Munich. Bauma is of course not a recreational event such as the Soccer World Cup: the focus here is on work. But still, Bauma is a unique opportunity to talk with nearly all representatives of the supplier industry to the concrete and precast concrete sector. Let’s all of us make use of this opportunity and enjoy a satisfying and successful trade show!

On pages 04 to 32 of this issue of BFT International, you will find announcements from the supplier industry reporting on new products and innovations, as well as the exhibition program for Bauma 2016. Beginning on page 26, suppliers to the concrete and precast concrete industry make their presentations in company profiles, together with their stand number. This year, our editorial office will be represented at Stand B1.350; we very much look forward to seeing you there.

“The world visiting friends” could also be the motto for another event that will take place in the second half of April. In Wiesbaden, members, friends, customers, and partners of the German Information Association for Cast Stone, Info-B for short, will meet. For 40 years the association has been successfully promoting the use of cast stone. We sincerely congratulate all members of the Association, their Executive Board, and their Management Board on their milestone anniversary and wish them continued good success in their work for our industry.
