Canadian Concrete Expo 2023 was by far the best to date

It took three years for Canadian Concrete Expo to get back to its regular show dates in February. The record attendance at CCE 2023 spoke volumes about the need for the continuation of face-to-face events. Over 6,000 people representing the concrete, aggregates and construction industries attended the 5th annual Canadian Concrete Expo. It was fabulous to see the return of record attendance, not only for CCE but what seems like a trend for trade shows throughout North America.

The largest growth sectors from attendees came in order of the following: General Contractors, Concrete Producers, Pumping Contractors followed by Government representatives. Each sector experienced an overall increase in attendance with total attendance including exhibitors reaching 7,691.

CCE is filling its role as the only national trade show in Canada serving the concrete construction industry and the construction industry at large, as attendance from each province and territory was achieved. Over 40% increases were seen from Quebec, BC, Alberta, and Nova Scotia. Ontario still delivers the majority of attendees but it is very encouraging to see the growth from other provinces, the US and internationally.

Next CCE once again in Toronto

CCE offered many timely and relevant education sessions where some of the brightest industry minds shared their knowledge to over 580 delegates that attended one of the 20 sessions being offered. We are committed to providing a continued and expanding educational component to the expo moving forward.

CCE worked closely with Skills Ontario/ Canada to provide opportunities and exposure for students considering a career in construction. Over 80 stu­dents toured the expo and the Skills Ontario/Canada interactive trades and tech truck at the show. CCE is dedicated to expanding opportunities for youth at future events.

CCE thanks to the exhibitors for the effort in preparation, excellent booth displays and providing the engine that keeps delivering new and repeat visitors to the expo. CCE is once again expanding for 2024 and is bringing back the large equipment demonstrations, which will feature collaborative Live Indoor Pours showcasing the newest innovations the industry has to offer, plus innovations in decking, forming, equipment and so much more.

CCE 2023 was by far the best to date and will return Wednesday, February 14 and Thursday February 15, 2024, once again at the International Centre in Toronto.
