Concrete mixing plant of the right size for new infrastructure projects in Bulgaria

A multitude of EU-funded projects are putting a Bulgarian business – and an Ammann CBS 120 SL Elba Concrete-mixing Plant – to work. With hourly output of 120 m3, the Ammann Elba plant is a perfect match for the needs of Atmix o.o.d. in Zapaden, Bulgaria.

“New infrastructure projects are currently being worked on that need to be supplied with high-quality concrete from this plant,” said Mr. Ivan Achovski, CEO at Atmix.  “Many more will follow in the coming years.”

Generally speaking, plants of this size (2 m3 to 3 m³ mixers) are in great demand in Bulgaria, Mr. Achovski said. “They are not too small, so that construction projects are supplied with a decent delivery rate and match the work cycle. But it should also not be a high-performance system whose cost/benefit value overshoots the mark.”

Atmix has multiple Ammann Elba concrete mixing plants in operation, and Mr. Achovski said he is highly satisfied with their superiority and reliability. His familiarity with the plants, along with the support provided by Ammann, helped him decide on the new CBS 120 SL Elba.

Atmix officials first saw the plant at Bauma 2022. The plant was exhibited in its latest configuration with the CEM 2660 S mixer. It was an easy choice given the mixer, the market needs, the plant’s size and the history of product support.

That exemplary product support continued after the most recent sale, Mr. Achovski said. “Permanent customer contact was maintained during installation in order to achieve the best possible success,” he said. Of course, the true test comes when the plant begins operation. In that regard, Mr. Achovski described the plant as “flawless and without any unfulfilled wishes.”
