30 years of paver laying machines from Optimas

“To mechanize the paver laying process and to minimize the extreme high physical burden.” With this ambitious aim Harald Kleinemas from Saterland-Ramsloh (Germany) retreated into the garage after sweat-inducing work in his own courtyard. There he built the first types, rejected various ideas and finally presented the first automotive paver laying machine in 1979 – one year after the foundation of his company. Now, thirty years later, the business which started in a garage, long ago turned into the world-wide operating manufacturer Optimas, holding unchallenged the leading position in this market segment with its machinery and practice-oriented attachments as well as the appropriate accessories.
The term “paver laying machine” and the name Optimas are inseparably connected. However, the process chain of paving consists of many work processes. Therefore, the manufacturer offers beside the machine with its special paver clamp a range of attachments, as a paver joint filling device, a vacuum unit for heavy-weight concrete components, a curbstone grab or even a site cleaning machine. Furthermore, various screeds and paving tools appropriate for the system starting from the angle guide over the stone cutter up to the paver cart are offered. Every year there is the possibility for customers, who would like to have their employees trained to become real master practitioners, to make use of the training program held by the manufacturer during winter months. This is not just about an efficient and cost-saving operation, but also important advice about the organization of paving building sites or logistics, such as about the correct placing of stone pallets for a rapid work process, are imparted. Solutions for special situations on the paving building site (dimensions, shape, markings, etc.) are also included in the training program.
