Concret goods, techniques, sales and management: Bi-annual SF-Kooperation conference at Dyckerhoff
The bi-annual international conference serves as an information platform for sales professionals, owners and managers of concrete block plants. During the two day forum the first day was reserved for technical subjects. On the second day promotion and marketing techniques were presented for the members of the SF-Kooperation.
Dyckerhoff AG as part of the Italian „Buzzi Unicem“-Group since 2008 in Wiesbaden-Biebrich/Germany was host of the two-day event. Martin Möllmann, director of Dyckerhoff AG and responsible for product marketing and sales of white cement, opened the meeting with a comprehensive overview of the corporate history.
Dr. Klaus Droll, chief of application technology at the Wilhelm Dyckerhoff-Institute (WDI) emphasized during his lecture among others the main objective of the cement industry is to reduce CO2-emissions by the development of high-performance CEM II- and CEM III-cements. “In this sense the research for optional innovative ways of production and cement grinding as well as the use of alternative cement main components is being pushed”, says Dr. Droll. Further topics he lectured on were “Standards – CE-marking – Quality mark?“ and “Durability of concrete products“.
During the next day the team of SF-Kooperation presented a current overview of the latest projects and research plans to the guests and explained prototypes of concrete paving stones and wall stone systems. The participants discussed various opinions and exchanged their experiences – as common with SF-cooperation partners. The cultural program was satisfied by visiting the monastery Eberbach in the Rheingau during the evening.
Basis of such meetings is a high quality standard of information combined with support and trends all around the topics “concrete merchandise, machines, sales, management” and others often with top-class external guest speakers. Anne M. Schüller, certified business manager and management consultant at this year’s information was giving practical advice in terms of marketing and sales strategy. Hence, experienced and trained employees are able to assist private customers, architects, planers and public decision makers with word and deed in reference to all around topics of concrete merchandise. As “the customer is the real boss”, says Anne M. Schüller ending her lecture.
The next SF-information meeting will presumably take place in the beginning of December and in turn will aim at production managers, technicians and machine operators.
