National Precast Concrete Association: Nick Rhoad becomes President and CEO

The National Precast Concrete Association (NPCA) today announced Nick Rhoad as its new President and CEO. Based in the Indianapolis area, Rhoad brings more than 20 years of experience in association management, government service and private sector economic development to his new role.

Benefit for the organization

“We are excited to have someone of Nick’s caliber and experience,” said Joel Sheets, NPCA Immediate Past Chair of the Board, who led the search committee. “His background in both the public and private sectors, as well as his experience managing an international association, will benefit our organization and its members. We look forward to Nick leading NPCA’s next chapter.”

Start in December

Rhoad begins his role at NPCA on Dec. 1. He most recently served as CEO of the Association of Real Estate License Law Officials (ARELLO), which is an international association. Prior to that, he was Vice President of Economic Development for a private sector company supporting manufacturers with property tax reductions. Rhoad also served in state government under two Indiana governors.

Rhoad will lead NPCA’s 26-person staff in serving the association’s members from the Carmel, Ind., office. He will collaborate with the Board of Directors to execute NPCA’s strategic plan to the benefit of its members and the precast concrete industry.

Visiting the member plants

“I want to thank the search committee, members, Board of Directors and partners of the National Precast Concrete Association,” Rhoad said. “The precast concrete industry is in a remarkable era of growth and opportunity. I am thrilled to lead the charge in advocating for its continued progress and development. Additionally, I am looking forward to visiting the NPCA member plants.”

Rhoad graduated from Hillsdale College and earned a master’s degree in public administration from Indiana University. He and his wife, Christina, have three school-aged children. He is a member of the Indiana Society of Association Executives, currently serving on its Government Affairs committee. He also volunteers with his local fire department.
