Vollert announces the launch of a new investment project in Ukraine to erect a network of house building factories.

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) to this effect was signed during the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Berlin this week in the presence of Vasyl Shkurakov, Acting Minister of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine, and Dr. Franziska Brantner, Parliamentary State Secretary for Economic Affairs and Climate Action.

The first precast factory will be built by the Ukrainian partner of Vollert in the Kyiv region and it should be operative by 2025. The production capacity of the plant will be up to 300,000 square metres of housing (up to 5,000 apartments) per year. The German side is also transferring to its Ukrainian partner technology to use recycling construction waste from the demolition of residential buildings for reuse in new construction/renovation. According to David Braun, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Ukraine Invest, the implementation of this project will significantly accelerate the reconstruction process of Ukraine.
