International Conference on Material Science
The International Conference on Material Science took place in Aachen/Germany from September 06 to 09, 2010. International guests and speakers as well as an interested professional audience of scientists from research and industry as well as company representatives took part in an ambitious congress. In parallel, the RILEM technical committees met on the 64th RILEM annual week, which started already on September 5, 2010 and took until September 10, 2010.
220 participants coming from overall 32 countries came to the lecture rooms of the RWTH Aachen University in order to attend the conference that was divided into three topics: “Textile Reinforced Concrete”, “Modelling of Heterogenous Construction Materials” and “Additions Improving Properties of Concrete”. Papers amounting to 700 pages in total were submitted that were reviewed and prepared twice. Main topic was Textile Reinforced Concrete with various lectures ranging from general information on textile reinforced concrete to mechanical and chemical properties through to practical examples....
