BFBN Visits Switzerland and BASF Admixture Systems

 A delegation of 13 members of the BFBN (Bond van Fabrikanten van Betonproducten in Nederland / Dutch Precast Concrete Manufacturers Association) selected for the annual study trip to visit Switzerland. Ton Pielkenrood, Director at BFBN, based on personal experience in joint BFBN and BIBM (European Federation for the Precast Concrete Industry) conference activities asked BASF for support in putting together an interesting and diversified program for the visitors.

After a short company presentation and introduction to BASF organization in Netherlands by the Business Line Officer Pietr van Gent, the responsible BASF segment managers presented the latest BASF admixture technologies interesting for manufacturers of prefabricated concrete products: X-Seed^® – Crystal Speed Hardening, RheoMatrix^®– Smart Dynamic Concrete and RheoFit^® – Fit4Value.

Afterwards in the larger Zurich area a construction site of a multistorage office building was visited, where the contracting company Brunner Erben used the special developed Smart Dynamic Concrete (SDC) solution. The...
