Concrete study trip to the Netherlands
From 1 to 5 May 2016, the Berufsförderungswerk für die Beton- und Fertigteilhersteller (Vocational Training Association for Concrete and Precast Producers) and the Association of Former Ulm Master Students will be jointly hosting a study trip. Departure will be from Frankfurt Airport, and this year’s destination will be the Netherlands. This trip will include not only an attractive technical program with several visits to plants of renowned precast manufacturers but also provide ample opportunity to get to know the country and the people.
Plant and project visits
The first visit of this trip will be to Romein Beton B.V. based in Dodewaard, one of the leading manufacturers of precast elements for infrastructural projects, where participants will get insights into the process of producing precast elements for bridges and tunnels as well as noise barriers. Participants will then travel to Monshouwer B.V., a concrete products manufacturer, and continue their journey to Eindhoven. On the following day, they will be visiting Hurks Prefabbeton in Veldhoven, a major producer of premium-quality precast façade panels for administrative and commercial buildings. The last stop on the second day will be at iQwoning Fabriek in Weert, which specializes in the production of modular dwellings. At the end of the study trip, participants will have the opportunity to visit the market hall, the port and two bridges in Rotterdam and to go on short trips to Delft and Scheveningen.
The price per person is EUR 1,274.00 for a double room or EUR 1,494.00 for a single room and also includes flights, transfers, meals and lodging, and plant and site visits.
