Italy‘s Construction Industry is Recovering
Italy‘s leading building exhibition SAIE (Bologna, October 27 - 30, 2010) announces a turn for the building industry after two years of severe cutbacks. With 168,000 visitors, including 6,800 guests arriving from abroad, the number of visitors even slightly surpassed previous year‘s figures (+1%). 302 foreign companies were represented among the overall 1,500 exhibitors.
Saienergia – that is to say an exhibition within the exhibition - substantially contributed to this success. Here everything is about energy-efficient and sustainable building. Starting three years ago with just one exhibition hall, Saienergia meanwhile enjoys that great interest that already four halls were needed this year.
This interest is forced additionally by initiatives of the Italian government concerning energy-efficiency. The program „Industria 2015“ promotes innovative building techniques and materials aiming at saving energy. It is thus possible to obtain tax reliefs of up to 55%...
