Large attendance expected despite economic crisis
Four months before SAIE is due to open its gates, Italy’s leading building exhibition is reporting a registration level of 80% compared to the previous year. The organizer is expecting a last surge in short-notice registrations even prior to the beginning of summer vacations. “We are currently expecting a drop of ten percent in exhibitor numbers,” says Ing. Marino Capelli, head of the Building Exhibitions department at BolognaFiere S.p.A.
Numerous initiatives were being devoted, according to Capelli, to smoothing the way for exhibitors to attend. Additional services and extensive visitor promotion are hoped to induce experts to attend this year‘s SAIE. Italian Chambers of Foreign Trade around the globe were called on for visitor promotion, for example, to make use of their existing high-quality address databases in the building sector.
