“Concrete” as “in” drink

A German daily newspaper reported recently that a cult drink named “Beton” (which is the German word for concrete) is gradually dominating the bars of Europe. The mixed drink originated in the Czech Republic, where it has allegedly been a widely popular drink for some time now. The drink was presented to the public for the first time in 1967 at EXPO in Montreal.

Since when can you drink concrete? The Czech people know the answer: mix Becherovka with tonic at the ratio of 1:5 to get the popular cocktail named BETON. This is how cults get started.
