And the winner is … our industry

The economy, as nearly all areas of society, is currently undergoing profound changes. The keywords are well-known: digitization, automation, the energy turnaround, demographic development, urbanization, and globalization. Many industries are already now severely affected by these developments, others not so much. But even those hardly affected until now should not allow themselves to be lulled into a false sense of security: the changes will come and it’s only a question of time when they make themselves felt. “Thinking of tomorrow already today” – this principle is therefore more valid than ever before.

With the Innovation Prize of the Supplier Industry for Concrete Components, we, your trade medium BFT International, want to contribute to the future sustainability of the precast concrete industry. Together with FBF Betondienst, the organizer of BetonTage – Europe’s largest precast concrete congress – we are putting the spotlight on companies that invest today in research and development of new products, processes, and services – and, in doing so, contribute to the ongoing development of the precast concrete industry.

This year, the jury, composed of representatives of all manufacturing segments, once again had received many outstanding applications. The winner – the manufacturer of textile reinforcement Solidian GmbH – was chosen after controversial discussions and honored at the BetonTage in Neu-Ulm.

We thank all applicants for their participation in this year’s Innovation Prize of the Supplier Industry for Concrete Components, and we congratulate the winner. At the same time, we invite you, dear readers: apply for the Innovation Prize, involve yourself actively in and for our industry, and contribute to the future sustainability of the precast concrete industry.
