Ibausil 2015: Construction materials research at Goethe-Stadt
Ibausil – the International Conference on Building Materials – takes place from 16 to 18 September already for the 19th time. The organizer, the F. A. Finger Institute at Bauhaus University Weimar, is convinced that the event will attract hundreds of scientists and industry representatives this year as well – in 2012, the 18th Ibausil reportedly attracted 700 attendees from 40 countries.
Ibausil’s impressive and comprehensive conference program is traditionally divided into the departments “Inorganic binders,” “Concretes and sustainability,” “Walling/Building conservation/Recycling.”
Conferences languages are German and English – lectures given in the main auditorium are simultaneously translated into these two languages.
Exhibition and
poster session
In the foyer of the conference there is, as always, a small exhibition of technical media and companies of the construction materials industry. A poster session, moreover, provides insights into research projects from all over the world.
The conference is also popular because of the setting in a great location that Weimar, the city of the poet Goethe, offers, and because of the social evening events that provide an ideal platform for exchange and for establishing and cultivating contacts.
The program at Ibausil and additional information on conference fees, registration and accommodation can be found at the website of the event (web-adress see CONTACT).
