For redesigning the built-in units for the historical library project “Hofbibliothek Donaueschingen,” the architectural firm of gäbele & raufer architects BDA had initially envisioned smooth architectural concrete walls with flush-mounted ornamental forms. Architect Lukas Gäbele: “To implement this, it would have been necessary to have an industrial fleeced fabric manufactured; and the required architectural concrete grade for this could also not be realized as planned for financial reasons.”
