Installation parts manufacturer acquires Attema

Kaiser GmbH & Co. KG, headquartered in Schalksmühle, Germany, is strengthening its presence in the Netherlands and Belgium. Effective retroactively from 1 January 2017, Kaiser acquired all shares in Attema B.V. based in Gorinchem, The Netherlands, and in its Belgian subsidiary located in Erembodegem.

Kaiser operates its head office in Schalksmühle, Germany, always ensuring high product quality for market-specific installation solutions through its subsidiaries Agro (Switzerland and China) and Helia (Belgium). The acquisition of Attema makes Kaiser Group grow to over 500 employees.

Kaiser is an independent, family-run business that relies on its international network to distribute a wide range of over 4,000 products and also offers innovative systems.

Innovative products

Founded in 1966, Attema, the Dutch manufacturer of electrical installation products, operates its head office in Gorinchem. The company has attained a leading position by supplying innovative solutions in its installation, building, infrastructure and special products segments. Attema employs 150 people and will operate as an independent business unit within Kaiser Group, retaining its well-known brand and continuing to serve the Dutch market.

“The acquisition of Attema strengthens our presence in the area of electrical installations for buildings. As a result, we will be offering an extended product portfolio and an even better service to our Dutch and Belgian customers”, says Burkard Kaiser, Managing Director of Kaiser.

“Attema is a medium-sized business with many ideas for future-proof installation systems, and thus fits perfectly into the structure of Kaiser Group. We look forward to collaborating with our new colleagues,” adds Attema CEO, Ton de Hoog.
