On the passing of Albert Pfender

Albert Pfender, managing director of Kißlegg-based mbk Maschinenbau GmbH, has passed away on May 14, 2017 at the age of 62, as the company now announced.

Albert Pfender had managed the company since 1985 after taking over from his father. In the years that followed, he gradually expanded the business with a great deal of commitment and entrepreneurial spirit to the market-leading position that mbk Maschinenbau has today in the field of welding machinery and plant for the international construction and concrete industry.

Numerous obituaries in the regional press prove just how popular and well-regarded Albert Pfender was not only in his professional sphere of work: Pfender was active, for example, as a saxophone player in the marching band of the German Armed Forces reservists Lake Constance-Upper Swabia, in the tractor lovers’ club Bulldog and Tractor Friends Kißlegg, or in the Kißlegg Motorcycle Club.

Mario Pfender, the son of Albert Pfender, intends to continue managing mbk Maschinenbau GmbH in the spirit of his father’s work. He has been a managing director of the company for six years.
